The "Load Demo Cohorts" button populates the dashboard with six identity-archetype cohorts — 20 procedurally-generated participants per cohort, 120 fixtures total — so you can explore Cohort Comparison and exercise every analytics path without uploading your own data.
The six archetypes
GeneralistDistributed self across many domains — ≥8 aspects, ≥4 categories represented, ≥50% schematic, no single category dominates.
SpecialistOne strong anchoring identity (importance ≥9, descriptiveness ≥9); all other aspects peripheral or aschematic.
Multi-Anchored2–4 strong anchors (importance ≥8, descriptiveness ≥8) with at least one clear-periphery aspect (importance ≤5).
TransitioningTwo snapshots per participant showing identity change (growth, decline, consolidation, or fragmentation). The single-snapshot classifier defers to the longitudinal layer (Phase 5L).
CompartmentalizedAspects valence-segregated — each aspect's attributes share one valence; across-aspect valence varies widely.
Ambivalent≥30% of aspects mix positive and negative attributes (within-aspect valence SD > 0.7); high revision counts (mean ≥3).
What gets loaded
Six separate cohorts in the Cohort Registry (one per archetype).
The first cohort (Generalist) becomes the primary; the other five are non-primary.
Cohort Comparison opens with the first three cohorts active for comparison (toggle the others on in the Cohort Manager — up to 4 active at a time).
Each journey has populated past, present, and future aspects, with the documented exception that Transitioning T1 starts with an empty past self (no prior assessment yet). Past and future are coherent with each archetype's operational definition — e.g. Specialist's anchor strengthens toward the future and was weaker in the past, Compartmentalized's dominant cluster grows over time, Generalist's emergent aspirational aspects appear in the future.
Most Generalist and Multi-Anchored participants have two journey snapshots (~6–8 weeks apart); a quarter of Specialist, Compartmentalized, and Ambivalent participants do too. Longitudinal-feature renderers (trajectory plots, identity change tables) therefore fire for participants outside the Transitioning cohort.
Realistic dwell distributions, sessionIntegrity blocks (mostly clean with a small admixture of review-confirmed / pruned / contaminated sessions), and schema 1.7.0+ throughout.
Fixtures are generated by SyntheticFixtures.generateAll() against the operational definitions in identity_archetypes_operational_spec_v0_1.md. Verification: each fixture passes the hard criteria for its target archetype via IdentityArchetypeCriteria.classifyJourneySnapshot(), and SyntheticFixtures.verify().summary additionally asserts demo-fitness invariants (every participant has past + future content, multi-journey distribution is met, classification is unperturbed by the post-present content). Names and aspect labels are content-neutral and not appropriated from any demographic group (spec §7.3). Generator is seeded — re-loading reproduces the same ~175 journeys across 120 participants.

⚠️Including contaminated sessions in cohort calculations. Some metrics may be unreliable. Switch to "Clean only" or "Clean + reviewed" for research-grade analysis.
Loads six identity-archetype cohorts — Generalist, Specialist, Multi-Anchored,
Transitioning, Compartmentalized, and Ambivalent — × 20 participants each
(120 fixtures total). Set Session Filter → "All sessions" to include all
participants (default "Clean only" filter hides some).
For regression testing: the legacy 20-participant age-cohort fixture set is preserved as window._LegacySyntheticFixtures (call .generateAll() in the browser console).
